Packaging Design, Brand Rollout, Art Direction, 3D & Motion
The sole in-house designer at a natural deodorant brand, carrying a full rebrand across packaging, retail and digital.
Overview
Pretty Frank. is an Austin natural deodorant brand, founded as Primal Pit Paste and sold at retailers including Whole Foods and H-E-B. As the company’s only in-house designer for a year and a half, I owned the creative for everything a customer saw: packaging, product photography, the website and Amazon storefront, and the email, SMS and social campaigns behind every launch.
The challenge
With a small team, one designer had to keep a growing product line, an online store and a retail presence looking like one brand. During my time there, the company also rebranded from Primal Pit Paste to Pretty Frank. with an external agency, so the new identity had to reach every SKU and every channel while day-to-day marketing kept moving.
What I did
Result
Pretty Frank. relaunched as a new brand across its entire product line, and it looked and sounded like one company everywhere customers found it: on the shelf, online and in their inbox. It was a full creative department’s worth of work, carried by one designer.
