Brand Identity Design
A visual identity for a new boutique hotel in Costa Rica, rooted in nature, eco-tourism and local craft.
Overview
La Ladera is a new boutique hotel in Costa Rica offering a refined, nature-connected stay rooted in eco-tourism and local culture. I designed its visual identity while the hotel was in its early stages.
The challenge
Balance understated luxury with the natural surroundings and the region’s traditions, and build an identity that could scale across signage, print, digital and the guest experience as the hotel grows.
What I did
Result
A complete identity system ready to scale as the hotel develops.
Scope of Work
Designed the core visual system, including logo, color palette, and typography, to reflect a modern, nature-connected luxury brand.
01
Created a custom logo inspired by traditional Costa Rican oxcart patterns—merging cultural heritage with a contemporary aesthetic.
02
Developed supporting graphic elements and textures to extend the brand identity across future applications.
03
Produced a foundational style guide to ensure consistency across print, signage, and digital platforms.
04
Designed key branding materials like keycards and packaging, focusing on elevating the guest experience and seamlessly integrating the hotel’s brand throughout the property.
05
Explored the brand’s digital presence by designing a landing page that introduces the hotel, its eco-tourism ethos, and luxury offerings, setting the stage for future web development.
